Years Experience - Salary Range
0-4 years - $40,000-$44,500
4-8 years - $41,000-$46,500
8-12 years - $42,000-$48,500
12+ years - $44,000-$51,000
Teachers new to VT in 2016-2017 with more than 12 years experience will be paid $44,000-$51,000. Teachers must be Highly Qualified (HQ) in accordance with NCLB. Texas Teachers Certification may also meet HQ requirements. Teachers and full-time employees at VT are eligible for TRS.
The 2016-2017 Teacher Salary Schedule is for the 2016-2017 School Year only. There is no expressed or implied contract based on this salary schedule, and no future raises may be implied or inferred from this schedule. In addition, any negotiated salary amount is at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer and in accordance with VT policies and procedures.
VT also offers a $1,000 Master's Degree stipend. The degree must have been awarded prior to September 1 of the school year in order to qualify for the additional Master's supplement.
Employment at VTS is on an at-will basis. Either VTS or the employee may terminate the employment relationship at any time with or without cause.
