Village Tech Schools is a place unlike any other. If you have ever stepped foot on our campus, then you know there is just something very different and uniquely special about it.
First, you may notice that our bicycle racks are purple and shaped like actual bicycles. Then, as you enter the building you are completely intrigued by the outdoor amphitheater that is lit by hanging pendant lights.
Once inside, you may get to experience the Forge which is a huge maker space complete with a woodshop, paint room, and almost any building or craft material imagined. You may get to experience our Black Box Theater which is the home of several theatrical productions put on by our amazing group of theater students. If you are lucky, you will enter what VT calls the “Great Room” and see our Learning Stairs and our two-story purple slide.
These are just a few of the unique things about VT but what truly makes us stand out from the rest is the students, teachers, and student work that VT produces. From Kindergarten making their own birdhouses to Seniors hosting a car show, every project and piece of work has a story to tell. We could sit here and tell you about all these things but it just wouldn’t do it justice.
That being said, we would like to invite you, our fellow community, to attend Mosaic: Exhibition of Learning happening on the Village Tech campus, Saturday, April 23 from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Village Tech students will spend the day showcasing their creativity, innovative ideas, and beautiful work to the community. As a school, we believe that “beautiful work doesn’t belong in a backpack.” Beautiful work – work of meaning, quality, and connection – should be enjoyed by everyone.
