Did you know Village Tech travels? Recently VT partnered with Explorica and traveled to Egypt for a “fourteen-day best of” tour! Nineteen travelers including VT staff, students, and parents took off on a 19-hour plane ride and landed in XXXXX. From there, the travelers got to see and experience The Great Pyramid of Giza, ride a camel, see the Sphinx, visit Memphis to see the statue of Ramses II, and have an authentic Egyptian lunch. One of the highlights of the journey was a three-day river cruise on the Nile River. The adventures were emersed in the history of the Nile, got to glimpse the lives of the people of Egypt, as well as getting to experience various excursions each day.
“I got to ride a camel in EGYPT! When in your life will you ever get that chance again?”
One thing all the travelers said was that the pyramids and temples were bigger and more ‘majestic’ looking than they ever imagined. Their tour guide not only showed them all the fine details but he took time to explain the history and meaning behind the architecture and culture that inspired the landmarks. One student, Rylee Angelo, stated that they flew to a temple named Abu Symbol and she was amazed that such a landmark existed that she had never heard of. She was blown away that something like that wasn’t in history books or on a documentary on tv. Another student, Isabella Pullido, said that if any of her friends or family ever get the chance to go on a trip like this, she would definitely recommend it.
If you are interested in traveling with Village Tech, we have two trips that are upcoming. We will be traveling to Costa Rica and to Ireland. If you are interested in either or both of these trips, visit this link or contact Mrs. Mays at smays@villagetechschools.org.
