A mosaic is a tremendously beautiful, personal, purposeful, versatile form of art. Its inclusivity-mosaics are often thought of as being made of stone or glass, but shells, seeds, and other organic materials can also be used. Some materials are used whole, while others have sharp, broken edges.
The thing about a mosaic is that all these disparate parts fuse together to become something infinitely more complex, more beautiful, and more purpose-filled than any of the components. If, however, any of them are missing, the void is obvious at a glance.

At Village Tech, students are taught that knowledge is a beautiful thing. While one student’s knowledge may not be as comprehensive or complete as another’s, it is not less valuable. One student may have gathered a tremendous amount of knowledge through research, while another may come to a similar point through a more experiential path. One may write an eloquent essay, while another follows the flight of their muse to create a piece of astounding beauty. When students bring together their collective contributions, marvelous imaginings can take flight.
Those imaginings, those paths, those works of beauty are what we present to you in Mosaic: An Exhibition of Learning.” – Mr. George Henson, Village Tech Teacher

If you have been on campus at all this week, you would understand why choosing one particular thing to write about this week would be nearly impossible. The Village is truly alive from PreK working on their alphabet displays to 8th grade building an interactive plane crash scene. While walking through Forge, you will see students pouring resin, sewing fabric, painting skateboards and even cooking waffles. If you walk around the classrooms, you may see 3rd graders practicing a stomp routine, 6th graders perfecting their sugar skulls, 11th grade finalizing world monuments and seniors perfecting their defenses. You will see teachers pouring out all they have to help these students be the most successful and prepared they can be. The Village is alive, the students are ready and we hope to see you all at Mosaic 2022.
