You will often hear that it truly takes a village to raise a child. Here at Village Tech, we couldn’t believe that more. Along with our wonderful staff and students, Village Tech has amazing volunteers who come in and donate their time in order to further the purpose of the Village. April is known as National Volunteer Appreciation Month. This month is set aside to  recognize the importance of volunteering and honoring the significant contributions volunteers make by generously donating their time and talents to worthy causes. Volunteers are often unseen heroes but at VT, we set out to recognize a few who clearly stood out among the crowd. Here at VT, volunteering can range from serving in the Forge, helping a teacher in the classroom, monitoring lunch, assisting in DriveLine and many other activities.

On Tuesday, April 27th, we hosted an inaugural ‘VT Loves Me’ luncheon. This luncheon recognized and honored our 2021-2022 Volunteers of the Year as well as our Junior internship partners for this school year. There was a warm welcome from Mr. Williams, a handful of juniors who shared their internship stories, and various Village Tech members who presented awards to those deserving individuals. We also took time to recognize all the various professionals and local businesses who hosted our junior students for their internship. We would like to invite you to also help us congratulate our 2021-2022 Volunteers of the Year.
