Purple Reign – Inspiring a Culture of School Spirit

Purple Reign is a Senior Summit Group focused on the collective culture of supporting our school’s athletic teams and raising awareness and support for Village Tech athletics.  

“We’re Purple Reign, and what we aim to do is to reach our parents, our staff, and students to encourage support for each other and for our teams. We help to create events after sports games, where you can come and meet up and socialize, or it could be after school and they could just meet up and create a culture of support for each other,” said senior Marcelino Arista.

In the future, there are plans for merchandising their efforts. Marcelino continued, “We’d also have items like t-shirts and rings – we could have silicone rings just for being in cross country or for just being in basketball – just so they have something to know that they’re part of Village Tech. We just want to show support for [our teams] and for what they’ve done for us.”
